First Summer Project Down

If you remember the list I posted awhile back, one of the projects I said I wanted to accomplish this summer was creating a shirt like this.  Here is my project list. It was verrrry simple to do & only took around an hour.

1. Cut the bottom hem off
2. Make marks 2cm apart all the way around the bottom
3. Cut slices 4-5 inches up the shirt
4. Pull the ends so that the fabric curls
5. OPTIONAL: Cut the ends into 'v' slits & add beads

Summer Bathing Suits

These are all from target(: & I will be wearing them with a pair of black bottoms that I cannot currently find!

The black one with teal diamonds was purchased this winter. Its actually black fabric with diamond cutouts over teal fabric. 

 This animal print one is reversible, I go it in the fall of last year for about $7 on sale for end of season clearance. 

Trends for the Spring/ Summer of 2011

-Small pops of color
look for things such as a bright colored purse, neon tanks, eccentric nail polish, etc.
-70s glamour
floppy hats, teased out curls, teal eye makeup, leather vests, etc.
-clean denim
no tears, studs, rhinestones or fading!
-nude colored outfits
dresses and blouses in skin tone colors
-LOUD prints
think hawaiian flowers, think stripes, zig zags, and mix matching patterns
-little white dresses
forget your LBDs this year, white is the new black. especially little white lace dresses, too cute!
-masculine tailoring
blazer and pants with no particular cut, things that hang off your body.
